Yesterday just blog walking at Paul Tan site....latest post by him Proton (Europe Star in China) is currently restyling its Gen2 for China market based on the design it does have a bit characteristic of Roewe (previously Rover)....not bad even though its a copy.....
Anyhow as a Malaysian i feel a bit frustrated by the double standard that Proton impose on us..we Malaysian..that support the company from start till now even though i feel that we are force to support..as Proton and Perodua is the cheapest car we can bought especially for the lower middle income earners.....
I'm sure its true or not but i feel Malaysian spec Proton has lowest spec quality among others....and I think Malaysian is the most expensive ones....Arab Saudi spec are more cheaper than Malaysian for Gen2 it just cost about RM30 000+++...........yet the quality we get are the worse...my sister in law Saga already starting its 'ragam' only used it for a year....
I'm a bit disappointed on the comment made by Proton Chairman regarding the market here they said its a small market....i think they should be grateful they have a market....if we apply an open policy in our automotive industry i'm sure they'll get less than that....
Well for Proton management or any personnel from Proton who read this blog...don't take this as a condemnation..hopefully they take it as a positive remarks from a Malaysian to a Malaysian....actually we demand respect from you yes here in Malaysia the market are small....but i'm sure if you have a quality products you shouldn't have a problem to sell your product....we are your consumer even though we are force too......take note on that...
P/S: sorry if my English bad, this is what you get if you're the black sheep in English class...so kids don't skip your English class

yup...sokong..kita bayar harga yg mahal untuk proton yg kualiti dia zero sedangkan yg terjual diluar negara lebih murah dari malaysia.. salah sapa sebenarnya neh??
i wonder why. huhu
"we are your consumer even though we are force too"
haha, i think we found the root cause of the problem!!!
yeah, i was quite pissed off when i see the export ones quality is as good as japan car,
while those the sell in local, all they din do inspection properly and use cheaper materials.
but it seems like the quality for local market ones is slowly improving.
but it is not enough, hope that it will be improve until as good as export models.
by the way, i am a proton fans.
:P
i am too.....i do support malaysia product...why not we should proud what come from our country right...but the only problem now is the double standard that the manufacturing put on us...all product that are for export market is in the best quality, but when it come to local market....main pakai tangkap je....
yeah, most of the malaysia made product also like this.
at oversea, the quality damn good.
those rejected ones, they sell in malaysia....
nobody in this world is perfect
and i know everyone is improving including myself..as I am a chinese..English educated..but my English is just average and sometimes I can't even recognize my own grammar error.
err..
i feel.malaysia doesn't have the open policy for automobile..if i am not mistaken as proton need to protect the sovereignty of their market Malaysia....i feel even produa using a better material for the interior...the only thing that we faced is...we are not producing our own engine.I think we need another 20 years to do that.I don't know whether we are researching to be better as a engine manufacturer country.
by the way...my sis bought the new proton satria last year..and i feel so many plastic inside.because of the price is cheap..they can't survive in oversea.so they make their profit in Malaysia ..but then, they increased the quality so that they can break tru other people's country.
once i heard from my friend..Proton Arena is quite famous in Australia..and he chatted with the guy selling the car..and he is from Malaysia.Knowing that the price is still that expensive actually.
So... Which is which?
nic fyi proton already produce its own engine thats call Campro another double standard, the engine is good when the technology is there that is CPS but when it first install it just 4 in line engine with a bad performance...for the time being only gen2 and satria neo had been installed after changes of CEO...well here again your proof of us being treated as double standard by our own proud company producing a good engine but when your selling to Malaysia your giving an engine with a bad performance without the technology that make the engine good....
As i know. Last time, the best model of Japanese cars was only selling in Japan! About the quality build I'm not sure. I think they are still selling the best quality build in Japan. That's why, Japanese always like to support their own country.
